A36/Q235/S235JR Carbon Steel Plate
Due to its low yield point, A36 carbon plate can be used to design lighter weight structures and equipment, and provide good weldability. Construction, energy, heavy equipment, transportation, infrastructure and mining are the industries where A36 panels are commonly used.
ASTM A283 is a carbon steel plate used for general structural purposes. The steel has low and medium tensile strength. The ASTM A283 steel specification covers four structural quality grades of mild steel, grades A, B, C, and D, for general application.
A36 is an American standard carbon structural plate, which is subject to ASTM A36/A36M. This standard is applicable to riveting, bolting and welding structures for bridges and buildings, as well as general purpose structural steel quality carbon steel sections, plates and bars.
ST12 is German standard (DIN1623), It's ordinary cold rolled steel. In principle, ST12 can only be bent and formed, and no stamping is allowed.
A283 refers to a carbon steel plate that conforms to the specifications set forth by the ASTM A283/A283M standard. This standard covers low and intermediate tensile strength carbon steel plates intended for general intermediate-strength usage. A283 steel plates are typically supplied in the hot-rolled condition but can also be obtained in the normalized or controlled rolled condition. The A283 steel plate comes in different grades, designated as A283 Grade A, Grade B, Grade C, and Grade D.
Alloys 316 (UNS S31600) and 316L (UNS S31603) are molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steels, which are more resistant to general corrosion and pitting/crevice corrosion than the conventional chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steels such as Alloy 304. These alloys also offer higher creep, stress-to-rupture, and tensile strength at elevated temperatures. In addition to excellent corrosion resistance and strength properties, the Alloys 316 and 316L Cr-Ni-Mo alloys also provide excellent fabricability and formability which are typical of the austenitic stainless steels.
